Healthiest State Employee Wellness Program Benefits
  • You can integrate the Healthiest State Employee wellness program into your daily operations today.

  • The Healthiest State Employee Wellness Program is already built and ready to implement but it can also be customized and utilized with other wellness programming and activities.

  • We will provide you with the necessary tools (including personalized health assessment tools, comprehensive online tracking tools, financial education and health resource tools) to engage and educate your employees to help them make better health care decisions.  We will provide you with the necessary information and communication materials to “get the message out” to your employees.  This along with additional resources, a step by step guide, the ability to host internal challenges and reporting on employee utilization complete the package.

  • It is FREE!

  • You can involve employee dependents in the Healthiest State Employee Wellness Program as well!

  • The Washington Health Foundation is a statewide non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that runs the Healthiest State in the Nation Campaign.  As a non-profit, WHF provides a non-biased, trusted platform for its Healthiest State Employee Wellness Program.

  • Participate in a statewide health improvement effort:  the Healthiest State in the Nation Campaign!  Your organization is not alone in the struggle to offer a competitive benefits package to employees and attempt to control health care expenditures. The Washington Health Foundation and its Healthiest State Campaign are unifying organizations, individuals and leaders across our state to address these concerns. The Healthiest State Campaign is creating a new culture of health in Washington State. We believe it will take both collective responsibility in creating healthy systems and individual responsibility in engaging in healthy habits to make Washington the Healthiest State in the Nation. By participating in this Campaign, you and your employees can be part of this cultural shift.

  • The Healthiest State Employee Wellness Program offers multiple types of motivation to get your employees involved!

    • Fun & Friendly Competition: Your employees can compete against each other and watch it all on our scoreboards at www.HealthiestState.org. You can set up teams and host an internal challenge (Click here to see an example on our scoreboard).
      • Additionally, your organization can compete against other organizations throughout the year and during our challenges. Compete in—and win—the Healthiest Business Challenge!
    • Built-in Incentives: We offer great incentives to individuals and organizations. In the past, the Healthiest State Campaign has given away a Washington resort stay each week of our six-week long Governor’s Health Bowl (September 18-November 1). We have awarded Healthiest Business Challenge winners with a healthy breakfast for 100 employees. We have awarded individuals gift certificates, bikes, gear and more.
    • Goal setting: Each employee has his/her own unique home page that not only welcomes each individual by name but keeps a record of all of his/her health tracking activity. Each tracker is individualized. You can set up employee teams and view how employees are doing from your organizational page.
    • Family, Friend and Community Integration: In addition to offering a fun, team-based workplace competition, the Healthiest State Campaign allows individuals to affiliate with other organizations and schools that they are connected to (e.g., a child’s school or an Alma Matter). Additionally, your employees can set up “Champion teams” with family and friends so that the healthy behaviors you are promoting at work can be integrated into personal time. In fact, you might even think of creating a family and friends team under your organization

      • Water Trackers: The water quiz helps individuals find the Institute of Medicine’s recommendations, and set a personal goal for daily water intake—and track their progress.
      • Weight Tracker: Whether an individual is trying to loose weight, gain weight or maintain, he or she can manage progress on our weight tracker.
      • Dental Health Tracker: Recent research shows that good dental health greatly affects overall health.  This tracker was created in conjunction with the Washington State Dental Service Foundation, and allows employees to answer questions dental health habits each week.
      • Tobacco Cessation Tracker: This tracker encourages employees to work with a health care provider and/or a health educator to set a quit date and get prepared for it. Once they are quit, they can stay quit by tracking their cessation efforts! Use this tracker in conjunction with information on the benefits and medications that your organization provides. Additionally, provide information about FREE tobacco cessation call centers (1-800-QUIT-NOW etc). See our Wellness Resources page for more information about tobacco cessation support services.
