During the 2006 Washington State Legislative Session, the Washington Health Foundation monitored and commented on issues falling into at least one of the following five policy categories:

• Raise awareness of health disparities
• Improve public health system performance and capacity
• Improve early learning and early intervention services across Washington
• Provide health homes for all children
• Remove physical barriers to physical activity
