This Privacy Policy describes the online privacy practices for the Washington Health Foundation (WHF) and applies to the information we collect through www.whf.org (the Site). By accessing and/or using the Site, you are consenting to the collection, storage, and disclosure of data as described in this Privacy Policy.

WHF reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter, update or remove portions of this Privacy Policy. We will post changes to this Policy on this page and indicate that changes have been made by noting at the bottom of this Privacy Policy the date it was last updated.

Your IP Address
Each time you visit the Site, our servers automatically collect information about which pages are visited and your IP address or domain name. An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer every time you browse the Internet. When a user requests a page from the Site, our servers log the user's current IP address. We use IP addresses to help administer the Site and to diagnose problems with our servers.
Cookies
The Site is developed using Active Server Pages (ASP), and we use per-session "cookies" (pieces of data your browser stores in your computer's memory at the Foundations request) to establish user sessions on our server. We use this information to carry information about usage from page to page through the Site. The cookie itself does not contain any personally identifying information, but may be used to tell when your computer has contacted the Site.

While most browsers are set up to accept cookies, you can usually change your browser settings to refuse them. If you disable cookies, your browser may experience some erratic behavior on some portions of the Site.
Personal Information
When you visit the Site, WHF does not automatically collect any Personal Information. Personal Information is defined as your name, street address, email address, and any other personally identifying information you may provide. Your Personal Information is only collected when you voluntarily submit it. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your inquiries, improving the Site, and communicating with you (such as sending you e-mail or other communications). WHF does not voluntarily provide any Personally Information to third parties regarding Site users. However, as described in our Terms of Use, WHF does not accept information on a confidential or proprietary basis. Therefore, from time to time, WHF may disclose information to third parties that relate to, or are submitted by, Site users, but such information will not personally identify Site users.

WHF may otherwise disclose information it has collected from visitors to the Site (1) to comply with valid legal requirements, such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order; or (2) when WHF has reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who, intentionally or unintentionally, may be causing injury or harm to other users of the Site or to other persons or who are violating the Terms of Use of the Site.
Sale or Rental of Information
WHF does not sell or rent Personal Information about you to third parties.

This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by the Site. Other Web sites (including those that we link to) will have their own policies. WHF has no responsibility or control over the information-collection practices of such third party Web sites.
