Internships

The Washington Health Foundation provides a wonderful opportunity for students with a passion for health and health related issues through its incredibly successful Internship Program. We design our program to match the academic pursuits of our interns in areas such as Policy & Advocacy, Outreach & Community Relations, Health Education and Communications & New Media.

Our interns are given clear objectives, meaningful assignments, effective supervision and extensive feedback during their time in our office.  It is important to us that our interns have an educational experience, and our summer internship program includes a speakers program.

Ideal candidates will be bright, energetic self-starters who like to solve problems and complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Candidates must possess a deep commitment to improving community health and a time commitment of at least one quarter or semester, usually a minimum of 10-15 hours per week.  Summer internships are negotiable and small stipends are available.

If you would like to be a part of a true learning experience, contact Lorna Stone at LornaS@whf.org.
